PORTLAND, Ore. – University of Jamestown men's soccer will have a conference home beginning in 2027.
The Great Northwest Athletic Conference announced Friday that it has entered into a three-year affiliate membership agreement with the University of Jamestown within the sport of men's soccer, set to begin in the fall of 2027.
UJ's membership will run from 2027-29 and will bring the GNAC's total number of men's soccer teams to six during that period. Starting with the 2027 season, the Jimmies will compete in a full conference schedule of 10 games and will be eligible for all GNAC awards as well as the 2027 GNAC Men's Soccer Championships tournament. Jamestown's affiliate membership with the conference does not include any sports other than men's soccer.
The GNAC has had several men's soccer affiliate members historically, including the University of Mary (2012-15), the University of Sioux Falls (2012) and South Dakota School of Mines (2013-14). The conference also currently has single-sport affiliate members in women's rowing, with both Cal Poly Humboldt and Central Oklahoma included in the conference for that sport. Beginning in 2027, the GNAC's men's soccer teams will include Northwest Nazarene, Saint Martin's, Seattle Pacific, Western Oregon, Western Washington and Jamestown.
