Burnsville, Minn. - The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference released its men's cross country Weekly Release No. 5 this morning. Cole Campbell was named the NSIC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for his performance this weekend at the Jimmie Invitational.  

Campbell was the fourth-place finisher out of 65 racers, only trailing behind three NCAA Division-I North Dakota State University competitors. His time of 26:05.3 across the 8-kilometer course (5:14.9 mile pace) was the second-highest of the senior's career.  

Campbell led the Jimmies to a second-place finish out of an eight-team field. Jamestown only was behind North Dakota State in the race, and beat out fellow NSIC member schools, Minnesota Crookston, Minot State, and Northern State.  

Campbell and the rest of the Jamestown men's cross country team will be back in action on Friday, October 23 as they head to Bismarck for the Marauders Invitational.
