MADISON, S.D.—The Jimmie baseball team wrapped up its opening North Star Athletic Association conference series with Dakota State University Friday afternoon, sweeping the Trojans at Flynn Field by scores of 7-2 and 7-4, improving their record to 22-8 overall and 3-1 in the NSAA.

GAME ONE
- Ben Patton and Jordan Singleton combined to drive in all seven Jimmie runs in game one.
- Patton's three-run home run in the top of the second gave UJ a 3-1 lead, then as the Jimmies led 3-2 in the sixth, Patton doubled to score Isaiah Roebuck to make it 4-2.
- Singleton added a three-run homer in the top of the seventh to round out the scoring.
- Roebuck doubled as part of a 3-for-3 game at the plate and scored twice.
- Patton also doubled and was 2-for-4.
- Chase Burke, Alex Alva, and Ryan Muizelaar each had a stolen base.
- Ryan Radkey (4-2) got the win after pitching 5 1/3 innings with three strikeouts. He gave up two runs on five hits.
- Ben Bohlmann worked the final 1 2/3 innings, striking out three, to record his second save.
GAME TWO
- Jamestown overcame a 4-3 deficit by scoring twice in the sixth, then added a run in the seventh and ninth innings to win 7-4 and complete the sweep.
- Ryan Muizelaar had four hits, including a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored.
- Alex Alva also homered and was 2-for-4 with four runs scored.
- Austin Shelton (2-0) got the win in relief, pitching three innings with two strikeouts and two walks.
- Joe Hart picked up his second save after getting the final five outs.
- Muizelaar's two-run homer in the first put the Jimmies ahead early, but Dakota State countered with a two-run shot of their own in the bottom half.
- Alva homered in the third to give UJ the lead at 3-2, then the Trojans added a run in the fourth and another in the fifth for a 4-3 advantage.
- Jordan Singleton drove in a run with a sixth-inning single to tie the game, then one batter later, Triston Madison's sacrifice fly scored Muizelaar with the go-ahead run.
- Chase Burke (seventh inning) and Alva (ninth inning) each scored on wild pitches for the last two Jimmie runs.

- Jamestown hosts Mayville State (N.D.) University in the home opener on Friday, April 4 at Jack Brown Stadium, with first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m.
