Men's golf team takes second and breaks records at NSAA Championship

The University of Jamestown men's golf team competed on Sunday, September 22, and Monday, September 23, at the North Star Conference Tournament in Carrington, N.D., on the Crossroads Golf Course. The Jimmies placed second as a team with 8-under 568. This score broke the 36-Hole Team Score school record and placed them second in the 18-Hole Team Score school record.

FOR THE JIMMIES

  • Max Noffsinger placed fourth with 5-under 139 (70-69), putting him third in the 36-Hole Tournament school record.
  • Bodie Williams tied for sixth with 3-under 141 (71-70), putting him seventh in the 36-Hole Tournament school record.
  • Gehrig Geiss placed eighth with 2-under 142 (70-72), putting him 16th in the 36-Hole Tournament school record. 
  • Logan Douglas placed ninth with 2-over 146 (75-71). 
  • Aidan Hall tied for 15th with 5-over 149 (75-74). 

OPPONENTS

  • Bellevue took first place in team scoring with 26-under. 
  • Mayville followed Jamestown in third place with 13-over. 
  • Thomas Gatlin of Bellevue placed first for individuals with 13-under 131 (67-64). 

UP NEXT

  • Men's golf competes at the University of Mary Invitational on September 30 and October 1. Tee times are TBA.
