Box Score VALLEY CITY, N.D.— The University of Jamestown football team took on Valley City State (N.D.) University in the Paint Bucket Game on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Vikings 38-7 at Shelly Ellig Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Vikings led 7-0 after one and added a second touchdown with 37 seconds left in the half to take a 14-0 lead into the break.
- Jamestown took over on their own 33 yard line following a missed field goal with 6:30 remaining in the third quarter. On 2nd and 6, Johnny Grann connected with Erastus Antsino on a 42-yard pass play that got the Jimmies down to the VCSU 21-yard line. Five plays later, Zach Hammett ran 5 yards for the touchdown that made the score 14-7.
- VCSU took the ensuing kickoff 96 yards for a score, immediately countering the UJ touchdown to retake a 14-point lead.
- A fumble by the Jimmies on the kickoff was recovered by the Vikings at the Jimmie 20-yard line and the drive resulted in a field goal making it a 24-7 score.
- Two more rushing touchdowns in the fourth quarter extended the VCSU lead to 38-7.
- Jamestown finished with 212 yards of total offense, 132 of them coming on the ground. Hammett ran 17 times for 85 yards and a score. Grann completed 8 of 14 passes for 80 yards, 42 of them coming on the reception by Antsino. Colton Schumacher and Ethan Hoffman both caught a pair of passes.
- Ezra Belingheri led the defense with 7 total tackles, followed by Kyle Williams and Jed Rantz with 6.
