BILLINGS, Mont. -- The University of Jamestown men's soccer team lost 1-0 to University of Providence (Mont.) Friday evening at Wendy's Field in Billings, Mont.
The Jimmies fall to 1-3-1 this season while the Argos even their record at 2-2-0.
UJ asked the questions of UP's defense in the first half, getting off six shots overall with five of them on target. Jamestown allowed just two shots (one on target) as the score was 0-0 at the half.
Gino Badalow broke the tie with an unassisted goal in the 63rd minute. It was the first shot of the second half for the Argos, who finished with three attempts on goal in the match.
The Jimmies had a pair of scoring chances denied by goalkeeper Teddy Benbow inside of the first 15 minutes of the second half. Frankie Parkinson had the final chance for UJ in the 89th minute.
Charlie Clark and Dylan Gies each had one save for the Jimmies.
Jamestown returns to action Saturday against Rocky Mountain (Mont.) College at 4 p.m.
