Men's track & field compete at Marauders Outdoor Opener

Bismarck, N.D. – The University of Jamestown men's track and field team competed at the Marauders Outdoor Opener in Bismarck, North Dakota, on Saturday. The men took third place of five teams and recorded three personal bests.
FOR THE JIMMIES – TRACK EVENTS

Cael Church placed sixth in the 400-meter Hurdles with a time of 1:01.70, earning three team points.
Cole Campbell placed second in the 1500 meters with a personal best time of 4:09.88, good for eight team points. Clark Lortscher followed in third with a time of 4:10.26 to tag on six points.
Lucas Dahl, Kadin Marshall, and Samuel Sampers also competed in the 1500 meters and ran 4:25.51, 4:38.21, and 4:44.09, respectively.

FOR THE JIMMIES – FIELD EVENTS

Tyler Dean placed second in the Discus with a throw of 45.44m for eight points. Samuel Reiland earned one point with his 40.90m throw and eighth-place finish. Dawson Sedivec followed in ninth with a throw of 40.29m.
Ethan Halverson threw a personal best 36.17m in the Discus. Shane Schnurr, Evan Schmit, and Kobe Irmen also competed and threw 33.62m, 33.40m, and 33.28m, respectively.
Dawson Sedivec took first place in the Hammer Throw with a distance of 55.13m, good for 10 points. Victor Ramos added four points with his fifth-place finish and throw of 47.37m.
Samuel Reiland set a personal best of 41.41m in the Hammer Throw. Evan Schmit (39.07m), Jobe Rystedt (37.04m), Dilon Filler (35.14m), Kobe Irmen (31.97m), Tyler Dean (30.45m), and Ethan Halverson (23.89m) also competed.
Ethan Duval took second in the High Jump with a height of 1.87m to earn seven points. Ethan Lieb and Riley Johnson followed in fifth and sixth place, each jumping 1.72m for seven collective points.
Kobe Irmen placed fifth in the Javelin Throw with a throw of 48.90m for four points. Brenden Palmer (40.05m), Thomas Drago (39.85m), Cael Church (36.90m), Charles Eaton (31.40m), and Victor Ramos (28.65m) also competed.
Jayden Bittner earned one point in the Long Jump with his eighth-place finish and mark of 5.56m.
Evan Schmit placed fifth in the Shot Put with a distance of 14.16m, good for four points. Jobe Rystedt followed in sixth with a throw of 14.08m to add three points. Ethan Halverson threw 13.17m.
