The 11th-ranked University of Jamestown women's hockey team allowed four straight goals, falling behind 5-1 in an eventual 5-3 loss to No. 8 Minot State University Friday evening at John L. Wilson Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Beavers scored first on Grace Perry's second goal of the season, coming at 4:49 of the opening period.
• Jamestown found the equalizer with a power play goal from Mackenzie Couling, her first of the season, assisted by Jaeda Clayton at 9:12.
• Minot State broke the tie with eight seconds left in the first as Paige Kozak made it 2-1.
• Kozak (1:16), Paige Ackerman (8:34), and Kaitlyn Snyder (16:27) all scored in the second period as the Beavers broke the game open, taking a 5-1 lead going into the final twenty minutes.
• Jayden Baker's fifth of the season, an unassisted goal at 5:07 of the third, made it 5-2.
• Gaby Schroder made it a two-goal deficit as she scored her second of the season at 13:59, with an assist from Ashton Lee.
• Lilah Drew had 32 saves for the Jimmies.
• Shots were 37-25 in favor of the Beavers.
• Both teams were 1-for-3 on the power play.
